About Us
The world needs more book clubs. When we saw that many of the book clubs in Coquitlam were either defunct or full, we thought there was room for a new book club. Held one evening a month at City Centre Library starting in January 2019, we're a welcoming open group reading a wide range of styles and genres, and we'd love to have you as a member. If you've never been a member of a book club before, we promise not to be scary. We're not a literary society or university class - we'll be reading accessible books, and the discussions will be friendly, fun, and facilitated by a member with years of book club experience (so we won't make you talk if you don't want!) We meet on the third Wednesday of the month at 7pm, at the Coquitlam City Centre Branch of Coquitlam Library (1169 Pinetree Way Coquitlam). Books are available through the library at these meetings for the upcoming month at no cost (though you will need a library card to borrow them), and meetings are completely free and open to all. We'll also be holding various additional events throughout the year, including reading challenges and cultural celebrations, and you're welcome to join us even if you're not a regular member. You can find information about these through our social media. To join, or if you have any further questions, contact us at [email protected] |
